Singers and musicians from "PermConcert" perform at concert venues in Minsk, Republic of Belarus
"Voskresenie" ensemble, Andrey Kiryakov, balalaika player and "Ivany" group came to twin city of Perm with diverse performances. The first concert took place on November 7, at the national holiday of Belarus – October Revolution Day.
It took place at the Moscow House of Compatriots in Minsk. PermConcert participants were impressed with the warm hospitality of the Minsk audience – standing ovations from the first song, friendly smiles and warm words of gratitude from the spectators. The concert programme "Together We are, Protected by God and Fate" included folk, popular, and patriotic songs, as well as instrumental pieces well-known and loved both in Russia and Belarus. The second concert took place at the Concert Hall of state institution "Minskconcert."
By the invitation of the administration of the Savyetski District of Minsk Perm participants visited Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, which was founded during the war when Belarus was still occupied by the Nazis. The history of the Great Victory of the Soviet people is carefully preserved in this museum.
It is worth noting that the idea of the concert tour of "PermConcert" was proposed in September this year during the official visit of the Perm delegation to the Republic of Belarus. During the visit on September 14, 2024 an agreement was signed between Perm and Minsk on establishing international and foreign economic relations. The artists of "PermConcert" became the first cultural representatives to perform in the Belarusian twin city of Perm after the agreement had been signed.
